Narcissa’s pov comes across as not in her usual character at least at first before arrival of Juno & Skeeter. Even before knowing the full extent of crimes revealed in the confession in front of Skeeter, she thought Fudge a monster when her own family friend & her son’s godfather Mr. Snape confessed to much worse under veritaserum. I am sure Lucius himself performed much worse deeds as a Death Eater himself. If her reaction comes after Skeeter gets confession & full extent of the crimes, at least we can understand. But before that, it seems out of character.
