Narcissa’s pov comes across as not in her usual character at least at first before arrival of Juno & Skeeter. Even before knowing the full extent of crimes revealed in the confession in front of Skeeter, she thought Fudge a monster when her own family friend & her son’s godfather Mr. Snape confessed to much worse under veritaserum. I am sure Lucius himself performed much worse deeds as a Death Eater himself. If her reaction comes after Skeeter gets confession & full extent of the crimes, at least we can understand. But before that, it seems out of character.
I’ll address it on the next edit.

Peak fiction. One thing I noticed in the first half that you might want to look at is that ‘skillfully’ is used several times. They’re not super close together, but it isn’t an extremely common word to use so it stuck out a bit to me.
Really good, loved reading this. Can’t wait to find out what happens next. I think it was written incredibly realistic for how a situation like this might play out. I really like the Epstein reference in the way you’ve done this, makes it seem so much more real – I guess it would take a magical world to get justice – but let’s find out if justice truly comes. Feels like a bunch of people are about to escape Britain, including Fudge, Umbridge, and other dangerously menacing individuals…. What if they end up with Voldemort? It does seem like where they belong… being tortured by that maniac is a good way to let them suffer.
Dumbledore’s words during the Yule Ball struck me as extremely odd… Why didn’t he know something was up? Nelly said she was picked up in the summer after her 6th year – How could Dumbledore not have known? – Better yet… How can a girl slip away from Hogwarts in such a manner without a single teacher noticing? I feel like during Dumbledore’s speech he either knew something, or it had dawned on him that there must be someone in the school who had helped things along. A very disturbing thought, my guess would be Snape – the biggest predator and creep that ever walked the halls of the school.
Finally – poor Fleur. We all know what it feels like to be rejected by a crush, but god dam… I can totally see how that would mess with anyones head, let alone a magical beauty who can entrance anyone except the one person she wants…. You have a way of writing romance that is just utterly next level. I love how devoted Juno is to Harry, wanting to be his wife, have his babies, and was willing to give him her magic… The jealousy in most storylines is often used to make the lady seem nuts – but in this story it’s entirely justified… Juno is being provoked into jealousy non-stop from all angles, so although what she did was totally brutal – it was a kindness that had to be done, for the sake of Fleur’s sanity, and Juno’s.
10/10
On second thoughts…. I don’t think it can be Snape as the Hogwarts trafficker. In the original books I believe the Sally-Anne girl simply disappears straight after first year never to be seen again…. This is not what happened in this story though – Chapter 66 shows the lads wishing Sally-Anne was still around – “Ugh, if only Sally-Anne didn’t drop out of school,” Jon lamented. “That girl was fun, and we had a thing going on last year. I bet you I could have got at least a kiss from her by now.” So she was still around during year 3? Ok it cannot be Snape. Potions were used…. and they messed with her memory… who do we know that keeps a very close eye on students, is good at making potions, can do incredibly powerful memory magic, and likes to be in the company of the rich, powerful and influential?
Slughorn is the only person who could have provided them the intel they needed to pick the correct girls. It would have had to be girls who had few friends, who wouldn’t go complaining to teachers when they weren’t getting any replies from letters etc… people who had no powerful magical family in their corner. In the Rowling’s book 6 he is incredibly avoidant to provide a memory which he knows is key to defeating Voldemort – I bet his head is full of dark memories of his crimes. Slughorn has gotta be the guy. The dates of her age matches up only just if Nelly is 29, so that her 6th year would have been around 1981 – when Slughorn retired. Barnabas Cuffe was a Slugclub member. All the names involved seem like the type to be in the Slugclub too.
So then what did Lucius know? Almost certainly nothing about muggle-born girls…. They wouldn’t have wanted to do this stuff in front of a suspected Death Eater while they were in the middle of rounding them up and putting them away in Azkaban. But he didn’t know what girls, or that they had been taken out of Hogwarts – and he wouldn’t know
Then again, Lucius was always quite close with Fudge, and he attended the Malfoy Gala when Harry attends if I remember correctly. He was also on the board of governors for the school. Lucius probably knew about the parties – but I doubt he realised the fully what was happening otherwise he’d simply get proof and blackmail fudge or others with it…
Then – looking closely again – Crouch is seeming extremely guilty here. He openly panics about the Selwyn muders – and then goes even further to show his fear of the upcoming public lynchings. He is incredibly concerned about the falsely accused all of a sudden too; despite having no problems sending people to Azkaban on dubious proof of crime many times. He’s maybe too obviously involved to the point where you’d have to call Dumbledore, Moody, Harry, Juno, and Hermione all basically an idiot for catching it.
So it pretty much seems it was Harry and Juno who got the Selwyn’s… I bet they didn’t kill the kids though – because if they did then that’s super dark.
One thing seriously troubling me is the potential murder of the children. If they did that then their souls are fucked and they are even worse than the nonces. Child murderers are not good protagonists for a story, so I sincerely hope the young Selwyn children are safe and well along with all the other “kidnapped” kids from Death Eaters. Otherwise this story is taking a deeply disturbing turn for the worst which I couldn’t approve of as it would be far too dark for me or likely anyone to enjoy. I can only hope when Harry said “You are right.” to Grindelwald in chapter 71, that he is trying to think of some way of getting rid of him.
One thing that I’d never allow if I was with any woman would be her calling someone else “Master” no matter what the reason. It is the number one thing I do not like in the story right now. It’s kinda driving me nuts actually because it turns Harry into a simp-cuck… We spent dozens of chapters watching Harry become a total badass who relies on himself. Having him suddenly take a backseat while an old ghost gives his fiancée orders completely undercuts all that hard-earned independence. We don’t get full confirmation of children’s bodies being found – so I’m hoping that child murdering isn’t something Harry and Juno have done.
So although he is helping them both become more powerful – in my opinion, Grindelwald needs to go… FAST. Harry should be the number one voice of authority – except when he listens to Juno – but he gets the last say. I liked it better when he wasn’t so indecisive and reliant on Dumbledore or Grindelwald or whoever to tell him what to do.
me encanto la historia. espero el siguiente capitulo
