Barty emerged from the Dark Lord’s room, chin lifted high. He had all the reason for his pride—not only was he the Dark Lord’s most trusted, but he was now the strongest amongst the Death Eaters, surpassing a limit without resorting to shortcuts. His strength had grown even further after Dumbledore’s death, and he had even replaced his wand with another older one, but a far better fit than what Ollivander had sold him at eleven.

Wasn’t clear from the beginning of the scene who’s POV it was. It’s Rookwood’s, but the opening paragraph made it seem like Crouch’s.

The late evening saw him and Juno in the Room again.

Should be “he and Juno…”

Interesting chapter. I appreciate setting the stage, however, can’t help but be eager for action. Harry’s picking up skills faster than an RPG character and seeing him go toe-to-toe with some seriously competent underlings is like an itch at the back of my skull.

Sounds like Crouch Jr has the Elder Wand now, which is less than ideal.
